Everette Presswood

	Everette Presswood, 86, of Centralia, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2003 at Fireside House.
	Mr. Presswood retired in 1976 as a conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and American Legion Post #446.
	He was a U.S. Army Signal Corps veteran of WW II, having taught the German and Japanese Code.
	He was born November 1, 1916 in Tilden, the son of Arthur and Sarah (Hart) Presswood.  He married Nedra Mann on September 21, 1944 in Columbus, Kansas and she survives.
	Surviving are his wife, Nedra Presswood; sons, Gary Presswood and wife Kirby of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mel Preswood and wife Janet of Dallas, Texas and Alan Presswood of St. Charles, Missouri and special friend Cindy Gordon of Centralia; grandchildren, Shelly Joslin and husband Tim of Las Vegas, Nev., Jenny Devine of Las Vegas, Nev.,  Jess Presswood of Las Vegas, Nev., Christopher Presswood of Mt. Vernon, Lindsey Preswood of Mt. Vernon, Ian Presswood of Mt. Vernon, Lee Presswood of St. Charles, Mo. and Lexie Presswood of St. Charles, Mo.; step-grandchildren, Darrell Edminson of Las Vegas, Nev. and Bart Edminson of Mt. Vernon; three great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Presswood of Du Quoin and a sister, Marjorie Isaacs of Boulder, Colorado.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clyde Presswood and two granddaughters, Angie and Glori.
	Funeral services were Wednesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Darin officiating.  Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
	Friends called Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia.
	Military rites at the grave were performed by American Legion Post #446 and VFW Post #2055.
	Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church.
